“For me it is the same if I play five false notes in a concert. What do people care abouts things like that?” Vladimir Horowitz
Everywhere around the world there are battalions of perfectionist musicians whose “image” is conceived so as to be seamless – just like their vision about the Beethoven-like interpretation and about the Mozart-like interpretation! But, many times, the human dimension of the musician is missing… A school based on fear and on not promoting creativity has been a highly debated topic for a few years now.
The initiators of the ArtAtelier Oradea  project want to significantly develop the artistic creativity and the spirit of initiative of young interpreters and visual artists with the support of an international team of musicians (who offer them new ways of understanding the art of sounds and new means of mastering the instrument), visual and multimedia artists (these propose, through visual arts, a complimentary way or, why not, a different way of expressing creativity), and also psychology and special education trainers – coaches from whom they learn self-confidence and who offer them the guarantee of their uniqueness.
This team counsels the young musicians, but also visual art trainees, throughout the project. It is not by accident that this combination is chosen – the “classical” instrumentalist is the equivalent of the visual artist, a … loner who, in solitude, is always finding means of expression and of drawing closer.
These workshops are designed for students and undergraduates across the country, young musicians and visual artists whose desire is to discover new meanings. The motto of this year’s edition is “creative spaces” and it represents an urge for young artist to work at building their own artistic personality, to try to discover themselves and thus to transform themselves into creative spaces – to become, in other words, true art drivers….
„Mie imi este egal daca in concert cant cinci note false. Pianistul Vladimir Horowitz
